interns

From L to R: Claire, Sarah, Eddie, Ebony, Trevor and Tanner

Unless you’ve been on vacation since the beginning of June, you’ve probably noticed there are some new faces working at New Life. Who are these people and where exactly did we find the? Did we just pick them off the street to see if they needed a job? No, this was actually very intentional.

After Ebony Bright came last year to serve at New Life and did such a great job, we prayerfully asked what it would be like if we could get more Interns this summer. And God provided. We were able to not only bring back Ebony for 6 months but also bring in additional 5 Interns for 3 months. We are so grateful to have Tanner, Trevor, Eddie, Claire and Sarah this summer serving at Camp KidZone and in other ministries this summer.

Below are brief bios about the interns. Take a few minutes to read through them and the next time you see them around the nZone or New Life events, take a minute or 2 and get to know them a little more.  We are truly blessed to have them around this summer.

Ebony Bright. My name is Ebony Bright and I am from a small country town in Liberty, Kentucky. I am very friendly and family oriented so everything I do involves a group of people. I am a recent graduate from Cincinnati Christian University in Cincinnati, OH. In my four years of college I played volleyball for CCU and majored in Business Management with a Sports Management Concentration along with having a minor in youth ministry. I am now doing a 6 month sports and student ministry residency here at New Life Christian Church and looking into what my future holds.

Sarah Stacy. I’m Sarah Stacy and I’m from Springfield OH. I attend Cincinnati Christian University where I’m majoring in Business Management and I’m a junior. At CCU I’m a part of the Women’s Soccer Team, Business Society, Study Government, and Kappa Phi, so you can say I like to stay a little busy. Also children’s ministry has become another love of mine as I coach a youth soccer team and volunteer for an organization called Prime Time, which gives children the opportunity to know God and His love for them. With all that being said, I have become very fond of coffee during my time in college. Other than that I enjoy going hiking, watching baseball, and I fall in love with every dog I see especially chocolate labs!

Trevor Lieffring. I’m Trevor Lieffring, I am from Mason, Ohio. I currently study counseling and bible theology at Johnson University. I will be going into my Junior year, I also play Ultimate Frisbee and I am heavily involved at a church down in Knoxville, Tennessee. In my free time I enjoy hanging out with my friends, going to sports events, throwing frisbee, playing video games, and occasionally binge watching Netflix.

Claire Dawkins. Hey! I’m Claire Dawkins. Home for me is deep in the suburbs of Philly, about an hour drive from the city. I am studying Middle Level Education for Math and English at Grove City College, and I couldn’t love it more! Being the people person that I am, I thrive on building relationships through any and all avenues. If you have the right people around you, anytime is the best time!

Eddie Hoffa. Hello all! My name is Eddie Hoffa, and I am from a small town in Northern Kentucky. I attend Cincinnati Christian University, which is only twenty minutes from my house. My major is Business Management, so I’m not a big fan of English nor am I good at it. At my university, I play on the men’s soccer team, along with Tanner who is another intern here at New Life. A hobby of mine other than soccer has to be eating. It always seems that I’m hungry or eating at some random point in the day, just ask the other interns!

Tanner Cox. Hey, my name is Tanner Cox. I have grown up in Northern Kentucky my entire life and love to play soccer. I have two siblings, an older brother (23) and a younger sister (13). At home I attended Calvary Baptist Church. I am currently attending Cincinnati Christian University(CCU), majoring in business marketing, with a minor ministry. I am also playing soccer for CCU and I enjoy hanging out with family and friends, watching nextflix, and thrift store shopping.
