Life is tough, no doubt about it. No matter how many books you read about how to live a great life or how to raise a healthy family, no book is 100% certain about how to do these things. However, there is one book that I have found extremely helpful throughout the years, and that book is the Bible. Why the Bible and not other books? Because I have found the Bible to be particularly practical.

That is why I am so excited about the thirty-one day Wise Up Challenge we are doing at New Life. Beginning July 1st, we are reading one chapter of Proverbs each day. Thirty-one chapters: thirty-one days; a perfect fit!

Although there are multiple authors, the primary author of the book of Proverbs in the Bible is Solomon. In each chapter, the authors compile a series of short instructions on how to live an effective life on earth. This extremely practical book is packed with Godly wisdom.

Every day we will post a reflection to go along with the reading for that particular day. You can check out the reading list here or follow along through our social media channels each day during July for a daily reminder.

I have found the summer months to be a great time to reflect and grow as an individual. This summer I am really excited to dive into Proverbs. This challenge will encourage me in the relationship with God and help me grow in Godly wisdom. I hope you will join me and the rest of New Life in the Wise Up thirty-one day challenge.
