New Life has been offering Internships and Residencies for many years. These programs have been a wonderful way for us to train college-aged students for a potential career in ministry. Not only do the students learn a ton and get plenty of hands-on training, but they are vital in helping New Life accomplish the ministry goals we strive for.

We are excited to introduce our four Summer Interns for 2017.

Interns Left to Right – Cruz, Brandi, Eddie, Sam

Cruz, our Worship Intern, from Mid-Atlantic Christian University.

Fun Fact: He canโ€™t see out of his right eye due to a parasite.

Why did you choose to intern at New Life Christian Church? โ€œThe opportunity to learn from an established church with a good worship program, a program that will not only benefit my ministry in a learning experience, but also benefit my spiritual growth is why I chose to intern at New Life.โ€

Brandi, our Videographer Intern, from Cincinnati Christian University.

Fun Fact: She just got her motorcycle license and bought her first cruiser, a 1981 Kawasaki 440 LTD.

Why did you choose to move 8 hours from home (Alexandria, Kentucky) to join our summer internship team? โ€œI was wanting to see if a career away from my family is something I could handle and also wanted to work in an environment surrounded by influences who will push me to grow with God. I am surrounded by this at school and the environment is good for my spiritual life. I want to be pushed out of my comfort zone in this internship, grow closer to God, and learn what strengths I have in the workplace.โ€

Eddie, our Outreach Camp Director Intern, from Cincinnati Christian University.

Fun Fact: โ€œI was born to live in the water.โ€

Why did you decided to come back for a second year? โ€œIt was the people I met and the experiences I had during my internship last summer that made me want to come back. It was in this environment that I was able to grow and make friendships which I hope to deepen while I am here again this summer.โ€

Meet Sam, our nZone Camp Counselor, from Milligan College.

Fun Fact: He canโ€™t whistle

What are you looking forward to the most about this internship? โ€œI am looking forward to meeting the kids I will be working with at camp and developing a relationship with them while having fun playing awesome games. I am also looking forward to meeting the members and staff of New Life Christian Church.โ€
