New Life was able to host a Stop Hunger Now event a couple months back. Several New Lifer’s came and helped pack meals. We just received an update about what happened to those meals:

Friends of Stop Hunger Now,

We are delighted to announce that the meals from your meal packaging event has been shipped in a container totaling 285,120 meals from our National Capital warehouse. Along with the meals, miscellaneous school supplies from Staples were included for our in-country recipients.  This shipment will serve needy children in Zambia through Reach Now and Mission Touch Ministries.

Mission Touch Ministries supports approximately 10,000 children with a hot meal each school day in and around Lusaka, Zambia. Many of the children served are drawn into the schools from the streets because of the provision of food. The enrollment at the schools often doubles when the feeding program is introduced, brightening the future of countless needy children.
