God uses ordinary people to do extraordinary things. Throughout the Bible there are people that were ordinary people that end up doing ordinary things.
1)  David in Acts 13:22 was called a man after God’s own heart. David like many of us had his faults, made some mistakes along the way yet persevered and was used by God. Psalm 103:10 God never deals with us after our sins nor rewards us according to our iniquities. He went from ordinary to doing the extraordinary.
2) Paul went from being a persecutor of the church to a great missionary for the church. He started as Saul who in Acts 8:1 approved of Stephen’s execution. Yet in Acts 9:3-4 he had a encounter with God that changed his life. He started as Saul the destroyer but ended as the Apostle Paul the builder of the church. God revealed his will to Saul but it was a different man he fulfilled it through. He went from being an ordinary man to doing the extraordinary.
3) Mary was an ordinary woman that yet was used by mightily. Luke 1:30-31 She found favor with God and was used by God to bring forth Jesus the savior of the world. It’s safe to say we are who we are today believers in Jesus Christ because she allowed herself to be used by God.
4) Jesus who in Philippians 2:7 he made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men. It’s from this scripture we get the word “ Kenosis” which mean he emptied himself. As a result We are who we are today.
