2 Corinthians 4:16-18 NIV 84 – “Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.”

Physically we go from life to death, but spiritually we go from death to life.

Meditate on what’s waiting for you in heaven.

If you read history you will find that the Christians who did most for the present world were just those who thought most of the next. The Apostles themselves, who set on foot the conversion of the Roman Empire, the great men who built up the Middle Ages, the English Evangelicals who abolished the Slave Trade, all left their mark on Earth, precisely because their minds were occupied with Heaven. It is since Christians have largely ceased to think of the other world that they have become so ineffective in this.”

Revelation 21:5 NIV 84 – “He who was seated on the throne said, ‘I am making everything new!’ Then he said, ‘Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and trust.'”

Revelation 21:6 NIV 84 – “He said to me, ‘It is done.’

Revelation 21:22-23 NIV 84 – “I did not see a temple in the city, because the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. The city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and the Lamb is its lamp.”

Revelation 21:25 NIV 84 – “On no day will its gates ever be shut, for there will be no night there.”

In heaven it’s always the first day.
