James 1:12 CSB – Blessed is the one who endures trials, because when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.

Keep Your Eyes On the Prize

James 1:13-14 CSB – No one undergoing a trial should say, “I am being tempted by God,” since God is not tempted by evil, and he himself doesn’t tempt anyone. 14 But each person is tempted when he is drawn away and enticed by his own evil desire.

Own Your Temptation

Matthew 5:27-29 CSB – “You have heard that it was said, Do not commit adultery.28 But I tell you, everyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart.29 If your right eye causes you to sin, gouge it out and throw it away. For it is better that you lose one of the parts of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell.

Matthew 6:22 CSB – The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eye is healthy, your whole body will be full of light.

Matthew 5:30 CSB – And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. For it is better that you lose one of the parts of your body than for your whole body to go into hell.

James 1:15 CSB – Then after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin, and when sin is fully grown, it gives birth to death.

James 1:16-18 CSB – Don’t be deceived, my dear brothers and sisters. Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. By his own choice, he gave us birth by the word of truth so that we would be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.
