5 Questions to Ask Your Kids This Easter
March 23, 2026
Easter is one of the most significant day of the year for believers. It’s the celebration of the risen Christ, God’s greatest gift to humanity. Beyond the egg hunts and family dinners, it’s a powerful moment to plant seeds of faith in your children’s hearts. Here are five questions to spark meaningful, God-centered conversation this Easter.Read the Resurrection Story Every Year Together
1. Why do you think God sent Jesus? Start with the heart of the gospel. Let your kids wrestle with the idea that God loved the world so much that He gave His only Son. Whether your child is five or fifteen, hearing them put God’s love into their own words is a gift — and it helps them own their faith, not just inherit it.
2. What does it mean to you that Jesus rose from the dead? The resurrection is everything. Ask your kids what they think it means that death didn’t win — that God’s power is greater than anything in this world. Help them see that Easter Sunday isn’t just history. It’s a living hope.
3. How has God shown up in your life this year? Gratitude deepens faith. Invite your kids to look back and name a moment where they felt God’s presence, protection, or provision. Share your own story alongside theirs. Testimony is one of the most powerful tools in a faith-filled home.
4. Is there anything you want to ask God about? Easter is a reminder that we serve a God who hears us. Encourage your kids to bring their real worries, hopes, and desires to Him. Then pray together, right there at the table. Let them see that prayer is a conversation, not a performance. It’s an opportunity to ask questions.
5. How can our family love others the way Jesus loves us? Faith without action is incomplete. Challenge your kids to think about one practical way your family can reflect God’s love this Easter season — a kind word, a generous act, a moment of forgiveness. Let the resurrection change how you live Monday through Saturday too.
Asking questions of your children, no matter how old they are, is a great way to talk about who Jesus is and how we can live out the Easter season all throughout the year.
