If you’ve attended New Life for a while, you’ve probably heard how we are a church planting church. We love starting new churches! Thanks to the vision of our leaders and your financial support, New Life (through the Passion for Planting church planting ministry has helped start five new churches this year!

Through these five churches people are discovering God and experiencing His redeeming love. We’re seeing marriages healed and lives transformed by the hope of the gospel in towns like Jacksonville, NC where former church planting resident Roger Burns led the charge in starting Restore Church in March 2017. The community has seen multiple people surrendering their lives to Christ in the waters of baptism as a result of the Restore Church’s ministry in their community.

Elsewhere in North Carolina the good news of Jesus is spreading through Movement Christian Church. Movement launched on October 22nd under the leadership and vision of Bobby Wallace. Passion for Planting provided Bobby with project management services. We focused on the logistical and legal details, so he could focus on people.

Just north of Baltimore in Owings Mills, MD, Tim Wolf planted United Church, a collection of people focused on helping others connect to God. Like Restore, United didn’t have to wait long before their ministry started bearing fruit. Their baptismal trough was ready to go during launch team meetings, so team members could respond to Jesus’ call to follow him and several did. If you are ever in the Owings Mills area on a Sunday, pay United a visit at Owings Mills High School and see for yourself the fruit God is bearing.

Of course, we can’t forget Joel Pazmino, who served at New Life as our church planting resident two years ago. He and his wife Meghan planted Encounter Church in Columbia Heights, DC in September creating environments where people have transforming encounters with God. Encounter Church seeks to reflect and transcend their neighborhood’s diversity and join God in the renewal of their city.

Last, but certainly not least, was the September launch of Collective Church in Frederick, MD started as the result of Michael Bartlett’s vision and passion to see broken people find restoration and redemption in Jesus. Michael’s family experienced that redemption when they came to New Life when Michael was in middle school. Jesus changed their lives forever and now they are paying it forward by helping others experience that same restoration through the ministry of Collective Church.

Thanks to your support of New Life, and our church planting ministry Passion for Planting, hundreds of people are experiencing and responding to the good news of Jesus through these five new churches. We rejoice over what God’s done this past year, and we look forward to even more churches being planting in 2018.

Thank you and yea God!
