Over the past few weeks, we have been digging into learning and practicing different spiritual disciplines. The hope of doing this study is to learn about and try each discipline each day as we talk about it. Over the past week we have been covering what it means to fast and study the Bible. Here are 3 lessons learned from the past week.

EstherCorporate Fasting

Even as Queen, approaching the throne of the King without an appointment or being called, could have gotten Esther killed. That is why she asked for the people of Israel to fast and pray with her. This is corporate fasting. It is when a group of people did this together in order to draw closer to God and help to have an answer from God. It is found regularly in the Old Testament and, as Anna Mari explains in this devotional, could be a great thing for you and your friends or Church. See how.

The Bible is a Source of Unbiased Truth

There are lots of truths out there today. Those truths are often shared with biases. Not the Bible. In this devotional, Sean shares how we can trust it. In addition, John shares in this devotional about how knowing scripture will help you counteract the false truths and lies that Satan tries to distract you with.

Studying the Bible Makes a Difference

Does reading the Bible and applying it to your life really matter? Does it really make a difference? Tom Hamberger shares in this devotional just a few stats about how the Bible does make a difference in your life.
