Meet New Life’s Summer ’17 Interns
June 21, 2017
New Life has been offering Internships and Residencies for many years. These programs have been a wonderful way for us to train college-aged students for a potential career in ministry. Not only do the students learn a ton and get plenty of hands-on training, but they are vital in helping New Life accomplish the ministry goals we strive for.
We are excited to introduce our four Summer Interns for 2017.
Cruz, our Worship Intern, from Mid-Atlantic Christian University.
Fun Fact: He can’t see out of his right eye due to a parasite.
Why did you choose to intern at New Life Christian Church? “The opportunity to learn from an established church with a good worship program, a program that will not only benefit my ministry in a learning experience, but also benefit my spiritual growth is why I chose to intern at New Life.”

Brandi, our Videographer Intern, from Cincinnati Christian University.
Fun Fact: She just got her motorcycle license and bought her first cruiser, a 1981 Kawasaki 440 LTD.
Why did you choose to move 8 hours from home (Alexandria, Kentucky) to join our summer internship team? “I was wanting to see if a career away from my family is something I could handle and also wanted to work in an environment surrounded by influences who will push me to grow with God. I am surrounded by this at school and the environment is good for my spiritual life. I want to be pushed out of my comfort zone in this internship, grow closer to God, and learn what strengths I have in the workplace.”

Eddie, our Outreach Camp Director Intern, from Cincinnati Christian University.
Fun Fact: “I was born to live in the water.”
Why did you decided to come back for a second year? “It was the people I met and the experiences I had during my internship last summer that made me want to come back. It was in this environment that I was able to grow and make friendships which I hope to deepen while I am here again this summer.”

Meet Sam, our nZone Camp Counselor, from Milligan College.

What are you looking forward to the most about this internship? “I am looking forward to meeting the kids I will be working with at camp and developing a relationship with them while having fun playing awesome games. I am also looking forward to meeting the members and staff of New Life Christian Church.”
