Christmas time is a great time to bake and make some yummy desserts. Here are 2 dessert Christmas recipes that Heather Smith and Ebony Bright really enjoy making.

Swedish Christmas Cookies (From Heather Smith)

  • 1/2 cup Butter
  • 1/4 cup Sugar
  • 1 egg, separated
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 Tbsp. grated orange peel
  • 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 1 cup sifted flour
  • 1 cup finely chopped walnuts
  • 25 candied cherries (red and green)

Cream butter and sugar; add egg yolk and beat well. Add vanilla, orange peel, lemon juice and salt; blend thoroughly. Add cake flour gradually, mixing well. Chill dough for about 2 hours. Mold into small balls, dip into slightly beaten egg white and roll in chopped nuts. Place cherry on top of each cook and arrange 1 inc apart on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 325 degrees about 20 minutes.

Ebony’s Peanut Butter Pie made recently for the Student Ministry Leaders

Famous Peanut Butter Pie (From Ebony Bright)

1 (8oz) of Cool Whip
1 (8oz) pkg of cream cheese
1 c. Peanut Butter
1 c Powdered sugar
1 graham cracker pie crust

Mix peanut butter, cream cheese, and powdered sugar together in a mixer then add in the cool whip until it is smooth. Spread the a mix into the graham cracker pie crust and refrigerate for a few hours.
