Living the Resurrection Daily

April 6, 2026

resurrection

Easter Sunday is glorious. The worship is powerful, the church is full, the message is life changing. He is risen! And then Monday comes.

The alarm goes off. The commute is long. The same frustrations are waiting. The same struggles you carried into Easter weekend are still sitting on your kitchen table. And the question the resurrection quietly asks you is this: does Easter Sunday and the resurrection actually change Monday?

It should. And here’s how.

Let the Empty Tomb Shape How You See Your Problems

Paul writes in Romans 8:11 (CSB), “And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead lives in you, then he who raised Christ from the dead will also bring your mortal bodies to life through his Spirit who lives in you.” The same power that conquered death lives inside every believer. That is not a bumper sticker — it is a daily reality. When anxiety creeps in, when the situation looks hopeless, when the problem feels too big, remember what the God you serve has already done. The resurrection changes everything. If He handled the grave, He can handle this.

Die to Yourself Before Breakfast

The resurrection only means something because of the cross. Galatians 2:20 (CSB) says, “I have been crucified with Christ, and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me.” Living out the risen Christ daily means choosing, in small and ordinary moments, to put His will above your own. In the hard conversation. In the moment of temptation. In the choice to forgive someone who doesn’t deserve it.

Carry the Hope Others Are Starving For

The disciples went from hiding behind locked doors to turning the world upside down — not because of a good idea, but because they had seen the risen Jesus. First Peter 3:15 (CSB) says to “always be ready to give a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you.” People around you are desperate for hope. You carry it.

That is why it is so important to stay close to Him and know His will for your life. New Life has a Bible reading plan going through the life of Christ and the movement of the first Church. It will help you understand who Jesus is and His will for you life. It is also an opportunity for you to read along with someone you are sharing Christ with or discipling. To read this New Testament plan, text “NT26” to 703-454-5990 and you will get a daily reading, video devotional and encouragement.

Easter is not just an annual event. There is power and hope in the resurrection. It impacts our daily identity. Live for Jesus each and every day.
