Life can be unpredictable and chaotic. One day everything seems to be going smoothly, and the next you feel like your whole world is crashing down. You may face a serious illness, loss of a job, relationship struggles, or any number of difficult circumstances that leave you feeling alone and afraid. But the good news is, no matter what you are facing, God promises to be right there with you.

In Joshua 1:9 God says, “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” God said this to Joshua when he was taking charge of Israel and lead them into the promise land. No matter what trial or tough encounter you go through, God is there to give you strength and courage. Deuteronomy 31:6 echoes this promise when God says, “Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.” God will never abandon you to handle life’s troubles on your own.

David also shares encouragement in Psalm 23:4 when he says, “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.” When you feel surrounded by darkness and despair, let God’s presence comfort you. Call out to Him in prayer, and trust that He hears you and understands what you’re going through.

Conclusion

No matter what you go through or how alone you may feel at times, God promises to be your constant companion through every high and low. Deuteronomy 31:8 says “It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.” Take comfort in knowing God goes before you and follows behind, ready to carry you through. You are not alone.
