2 Corinthians 11:16-17 CSB – I repeat: Let no one consider me a fool. But if you do, at least accept me as a fool so that I can also boast a little.17 What I am saying in this matter of boasting, I don’t speak as the Lord would, but as it were, foolishly.

2 Corinthians 11:28 CSB – Not to mention other things, there is the daily pressure on me: my concern for all the churches.

Others Centered Focus

Philippians 2:3-4 CSB – Do nothing out of selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility consider others as more important than yourselves.4 Everyone should look not to his own interests, but rather to the interests of others.

Philippians 2:5-8 CSB – Adopt the same attitude as that of Christ Jesus6 who, existing in the form of God, did not consider equality with God as something to be exploited.7 Instead he emptied himself by assuming the form of a servant, taking on the likeness of humanity. And when he had come as a man8 he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death — even to death on a cross.

2 Corinthians 11:29 CSB – Who is weak, and I am not weak? Who is made to stumble, and I do not burn with indignation?

2 Corinthians 11:30-33 CSB – If boasting is necessary, I will boast about my weaknesses.31 The God and Father of the Lord Jesus, who is blessed forever, knows I am not lying.32 In Damascus, a ruler under King Aretas guarded the city of Damascus in order to arrest me.33 So I was let down in a basket through a window in the wall and escaped from his hands.

When it comes to following Jesus there’s a fine line between faithfulness and foolishness.
