The “Search Me” Prayer

Psalm 139:23-24 ESV – 

Search me, O God, and know my heart!
Try me and know my thoughts![

24 And see if there be any grievous way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting!

Psalm 139:1-2 ESV –

O Lord, you have searched me and known me!
You know when I sit down and when I rise up;
you discern my thoughts from afar.

 Psalm 139:3-6 ESV –

You search out my path and my lying down

    and are acquainted with all my ways.

4 Even before a word is on my tongue,

   behold, O Lord, you know it altogether.

5 You hem me in, behind and before,

    and lay your hand upon me.

6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me;

    it is high; I cannot attain it.

Psalm 139:17-18 ESV – 

How precious to me are your thoughts, O God!
How vast is the sum of them!
18 If I would count them, they are more than the sand.
I awake, and I am still with you.

Psalm 139:19-22 ESV – 

Oh that you would slay the wicked, O God!
20 They speak against you with malicious intent;
your enemies take your name in vain.
21 Do I not hate those who hate you, O Lord?
And do I not loathe those who rise up against you?

22 I hate them with complete hatred;
I count them my enemies.

The “Stretch Me” Prayer

Acts 4:29 ESV – And now, Lord, look upon their threats and grant to your servants to continue to speak your word with all boldness,

John 3:2 ESV – Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher come from God, for no one can do these signs that you do unless God is with him.” 

John 3:5 ESV – “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.

Psalm 138:6 ESV – Though the LORD is great, he cares for the humble, but he keeps his distance from the proud.

The “Lead Me” Prayer

Psalm 23 ESV – 

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
    He makes me lie down in green pastures.
He leads me beside still waters.
    He restores my soul.
He leads me in paths of righteousness
for his name’s sake.

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil,

Psalm 5:8 ESV – Lead me, O Lord, in your righteousness
because of my enemies;
make your way straight before me.

Psalm 27:11 ESV – Teach me your way, O Lord,
and lead me on a level path

Psalm 61:2 ESV – Lead me to the rock
that is higher than I,
for you have been my refuge

He leads me in paths of righteousness
for his name’s sake.

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,

 People of Israel, “God, lead us out of Egypt!”

The “Use Me” Prayer

Ephesians 2:10 ESV – For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.
