Obedience to Christ at all costs
Luke 9:23, 24 CSB – Then He said to them all, “If anyone wants to follow after Me, let him deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow me. For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life because of Me will save it.
Ephesians 6:1-3 CSB – Children, obey your parents in the Lord, because this is right. Honor your father and mother, which is the first commandment with a promise, so that it may go well with you and that you may have a long life in the land.
Ephesians 6:4 CSB – Fathers, don’t stir up anger in your children, but bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.
