Matthew 28:18-20 CSB – All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.  Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you.  And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.

Matthew 4:19 CSB – “Follow Me, and I will make you fish for people.”

Luke 19:10 CSB – For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save the lost.”

John 20:21 CSB – As the Father has sent me, I also send you.”

Why?

2 Corinthians 5:11, 17-20 CSB, answers that question clearly

Therefore, since we know the fear of the Lord, we try to persuade people. What we are is plain to God, and I hope it is also plain to your consciences.

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away, and see, the new has come! 18 Everything is from God, who has reconciled us to himself through Christ and has given us the ministry of reconciliation. 19 That is, in Christ, God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and he has committed the message of reconciliation to us.

20 Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, since God is making his appeal through us. We plead on Christ’s behalf: “Be reconciled to God.”

Matthew 28:18 CSB – “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me…”

2 Corinthians 5:11 CSB – Therefore, since we know the fear of the Lord, we try to persuade people

Hebrews 10:31 CSB – It is a terrifying thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

What?

Acts 2:38 CSB – Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, each of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

John 4:29 CSB – The Samaritan Woman testified, Come, see a man who told me everything I ever did. Could this be the Messiah?”

John 9:25 CSB – The blind man testified, He answered, “Whether or not he’s a sinner, I don’t know. One thing I do know: I was blind, and now I can see!”

Who?

John 4:53 CSB – The father realized this was the very hour at which Jesus had told him, “Your son will live.” So he himself believed, along with his whole household.

Acts 10:2 CSB – He was a devout man and feared God along with his whole household.

When?

Matthew 7:24, 26, “Therefore, everyone who hears these words of mine and acts on them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock….  26 But everyone who hears these words of mine and doesn’t act on them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand.

The Wise Plan

1) Plan to Pray for your Oikos— Who? What Date?

1 John 5:14 CSB – This is the confidence we have before him: If we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.

Psalm 102:17 CSB – He will pay attention to the prayer of the destitute and will not despise their prayer.

Psalm 145:18 CSB – The LORD is near all who call out to him, all who call out to him with integrity.

Philippians 4:6,7 CSB – Don’t worry about anything, but in everything, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

2) Plan to Share Jesus—Who?  What Date?

3) Plan to Lead to a Next Step—Who?  What Date?
