How Do People Run to God’s Name for Strength?

Abraham Finds Provision God’s Name

Genesis 22:7-8 CSB – Isaac said, “The fire and the wood are here, but where is the lamb for the burnt offering?”

But the angel of the Lord called to him from heaven and said, “Abraham, Abraham!”

He replied, “Here I am.”

13 Abraham looked up and saw a ram caught in the thicket by its horns. So Abraham went and took the ram and offered it as a burnt offering in place of his son. 14 And Abraham named that place The Lord Will Provide, so today it is said: “It will be provided on the Lord’s mountain.”

God’s Name Means, “The Lord Will Provide!”

 1 Corinthians 10:13 CSB – No temptation has seized you that isn’t common for people. But God is faithful. He won’t allow you to be tempted beyond your abilities. Instead, with the temptation, God will also supply [provide] a way out so that you will be able to endure it.

Where are all his amazing works that our ancestors recounted to us, saying, ‘Didn’t the Lord bring us up from Egypt?’ But now the Lord has abandoned us and allowed Midian to overpower us.”

Judge 6:23 CSB – But the Lord said to him, “Peace! Don’t be afraid! You won’t die.”

For His name’s sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil;
For You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
You anoint my head with oil;
My cup runs over.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
All the days of my life;
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord
Forever.
