Chosen
Ephesians 1:4, 5 CSB – For He chose us in Him, before the foundation of the world, to be holy and blameless in love before Him. He predestined us to be adopted as sons through Jesus Christ for Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will.
John 15:16 CSB – You did not choose me, but I chose you.
Mission
John 15:16 CSB – You did not choose me, but I chose you. I appointed you to go and produce fruit and that your fruit should remain, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, He will give you.
Matthew 28:18-20 CSB – Jesus came near and said to them, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.
We succeed in community
2 Timothy 2:1, 2 CSB – You, therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. What you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses, commit to faithful men who will be able to teach others also. []
Eternity hangs in the balance
Revelation 22:5 CSB – Night will be no more; people will not need the light of a lamp or the light of the sun, because the Lord will give them light, and they will reign forever and ever.
Ephesians 6:12 CSB – For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers of this darkness, against evil, spiritual forces in the heavens.
Ephesians 3:20, 21 CSB – Now to Him who is able to do above and beyond all that we ask or think according to the power that works in us – to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
